Any item purchased from Safeway/The Sultan Center can be refunded or exchanged according to the following conditions:
Product that has a manufacturer's defect (faulty workmanship not due to normal use): The item must be returned within 14 days of purchase date and will be either exchanged or cash will be refunded, with original tags and packing, with valid register receipt. If the item cannot be repaired, it will be exchanged for a new one. After 14 days, the item will be exchanged only if it was a manufacturer's default.
Manufacturer Warranty or Guarantee – Product has warranty or guarantee against manufacturer's defect (faulty workmanship not due to normal use) if returned during specified warranty/guarantee time with validated warranty/guarantee showing purchased within warranty/guarantee time. If the item cannot be repaired, it will be exchanged for a new one.
Perishable food products (produce, seafood, meat, deli, bakery, prepared foods, dairy and frozen) can be exchanged only if goods are returned within 24 hours of purchase, with a valid register receipt and Safeway/The Sultan Center label.
Non-refundable products:
1. Newspapers, Magazines, Books, and Greeting Cards.
2. Special Mixed Paints, Special Cut Items (Table covers, wire sold per meter, etc.)
3. Special Occasion items (Valentine's, Christmas, etc.)
4. Computer and related software.
5. Swimwear.
6. Baby Foods and Milk.
- Products returned that are discounted will be refunded with the same discounted price shown on the receipt and points acquired from the Safeway Gold Card will also be deducted in processing the refund transaction.
- Refunds or exchanges should be approved by the Manager on Duty.
- Returns that are replaced with the same item need not pass through the checkout but should be brought to the service counter with approval of the Store Manager on duty.
- Any refund or exchange transaction MUST be accompanied by the purchase receipt.
- Gold Card may not be used if the method of payment was through the Safeway purchase coupon.
